And with a sigh of relief we welcome September. The burning days of summer are nearing their end, the transition to a cold winter only just beginning. Offering cooler, crisper days, September allows New York City residents and visitors to enjoy the outdoors once again. The gardens at The Battery are showing their pleasure, too. Many plants are waking up from a nap just in time for a shorter, second show. Others are just warming up.
