The Battery Bosque, Kiosks
Completing the Battery Bosque project are two distinctively designed food kiosks.
Trace the scent of Picnick’s freshly-pressed caprese sandwiches to the two new food kiosks tucked among the flowering "café rooms." Like 21st century gingerbread houses in fairy tale woods, our kiosks entice visitors not only with tasty food offerings, but with elegant architectural design. Designed by WXY Architects and fabricated by Soheil Mosun, the kiosks were lauded by the Public Design Commission as being elegant and modern additions to city park architecture. The structures, derived from a series of arcs, are self-shaded and made of certified sustainably-harvested louvered panels of hardwood and capped by fiberglass domes. They glow in the evening like garden lanterns.
